  *Bachelor of Fine Arts fra Tulane University i New Orleans 1952. Emily was a talented artist, painting, sewing, and creating wonderful pieces from a variety of media. She was a much-beloved community volunteer wherever she lived and was elected multiple times to the Camden-Rockport School Board. With the move to Meadowsweet Farm, she became a prize-winning weaver, spinning and dying wool from the sheep they raised. She set up a business in which she designed and wove original works on commission for clients.
